Town of Ulster - Two employees of the Staples on Ulster Avenue (Kingston store), were arrested for stealing customer's credit card information, and making over $30,000 in purchases.

Shawn N. McMillian and  Nerville M. Thomas, both 27- years old from Kingston were both arrested and charged with two felony counts of grand larceny each, as reported by The Daily Freeman.

Police received a complaint from Staples in late January concerning the theft of customers' credit card information. Police conducted an investigation and found that the two men stole customers' information and used it to purchase American Express gift cards in $200 increments.

The men used those gift cards to make purchases at other retailers.

Police are encouraging people who have shopped at the Staples at 1399 Ulster Avenue to check their credit card statements for fraudulent charges. Those with suspicious charges should call Ulster Detective Brian Reavy at the Ulster police (845) 382-1111.

The men have been arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail.
