A Texas Jury has found Eddie Roth Routh guilty of the killings of 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle, and Chad Littlefield.

The jury announced the verdict on Tuesday evening. Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty, but Routh was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Littlefield's mother had this to say after the verdict was read, as reported by NBC News:

We just want to say that we've waited two years for God to get justice for us on behalf of our son and as always God has proved to be faithful, and we're so thrilled that we have the verdict that we have tonight.

Routh, admitted to killing both men at a shooting range in Texas on Feb. 2, 2013. He plead not guilty by reason of insanity, but prosecutors said he was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana the morning of the killings.

Experts for the prosecution testified that Routh knew what he was doing was wrong when he killed the two men.
