Police in Dutchess County are reminding all Hudson Valley residents to lock their car doors following a string of recent vehicle break-ins.

East Fishkill Police are investigating reports of a number of recent larcenies from unlocked vehicles in the Hopewell Glen area. Due to the recent break-ins, police are telling residents a simple yet effective way to avoid your car from being broken into.

“Residents are reminded to never leave valuables in cars and to lock your vehicles even in your driveways,” the police department posted on their Facebook page.

If anyone sees suspicious activity near your home, you should call East Fishkill Police (845) 221-2111.

In other news from East Fishkill, Four Hudson Valley teens were allegedly found by police with Nazi banners, a rifle, knifes, gun ammo and more while parked at the East Fishkill Soccer Complex. Also, three from New York City were arrested after their car was pulled over on the Taconic in the Fishkill area. Police say they found crack-cocaine, a loaded gun and more.
