Dutchess County Men Arrested on Drug Charges Following Search Warrant

Two men, including a convicted felon out on a parole, are accused of possessing drugs in Dutchess County.

On Friday, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit and the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team, conducted a narcotics investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at an apartment on Noxon Street in Poughkeepsie.

The search warrant resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Marvin Hill, a convicted felon who is currently on parole, police say.

Hill was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after police allegedly found fentanyl, cocaine and various drug paraphernalia.

Sandy Cause, 21, is accused of possessing heroin and crack cocaine. He was charged criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Cause was released on an appearance ticket. Hill was remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.
