The New York State Police, following an investigation, arrested a Dutchess County man for possessing child pornography.

The New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit conducted an investigation, and found Jason E. Pavelock, 27, of Poughkeepsie to be in possession of electronic devices that contained child pornography.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation located and arrested Pavelock and charged him with seven counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, according to a press release.

Pavelock was remanded to Dutchess County Jail, following his arraignment in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court. Pavelock is being held on $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 bond. Pavelock is due back in court at a later date.
