A Dutchess County man is facing felony drug charges after being caught with nearly four pounds of marijuana, following an investigation.

That's not pot, that's oregano!....I mean...It's for medicinal purposes, I have glaucoma! We can't forget the ever popular "that's not mine". Those are just a few of the things I imagine people to say when getting caught with pounds of marijuana.

State Police from Poughkeepsie conducted an investigation, which resulted in the arrest of a LaGrangeville man. Michael Bott, 50, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the second-degree, and Unlawful Growing of Cannabis.

As a result of the investigation, several marijuana plants were seized, and approximately 3.7 pounds marijuana, according to a press release.

Michael Bott was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. Bott is due back in court later this month.

In related marijuana news, there is also a random marijuana plant growing in plain sight in Poughkeepsie. The plant is hidden amongst other weeds and plants.
