A Wappingers Falls man is was sent to jail without bail or a comb.  

On Monday, plain-clothed State Police Investigators were in the parking lot of Home Depot in Poughkeepsie, when they observed a man enter the home improvement store.

Several minutes later, the man was observed exiting the store, running towards a vehicle, pushing a shopping cart, which contained three chainsaws and a leaf blower.

The man, who was identified as Ryan McNamee, 40, of Wappingers Falls, was confronted by the Investigators. He then grabbed a chainsaw from the cart and threw it in a waiting vehicle, instructing the driver to exit the parking area.

The vehicle exited the Home Depot parking lot, and was subsequently stopped by State Police on Route 9 in Hyde Park.

Further investigation revealed that McNamee had stolen $1,100 worth of merchandise from the Home Depot. Two occupants in the vehicle were not charged and released from police custody.

McNamee was charged with Grand Larceny fourth-degree, a felony. Mcnamee was arraigned in the Town Hyde Park Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.

McNamee is due back in court at a later date.
