Does America really run on Dunkin... or is it actually beer? Maybe both.

MSN is reporting that Dunkin Donuts is getting its very own beer release Thursday to mark the beginning of winter. Named the DDark Roasted Brew, the new beer is the brainchild of the Wormtown Brewery in Worcester, Massachusetts and the worldwide doughnut chain.

It's worth pointing out that the first Dunkin Donuts in the United States was opened in Quincy, MA in 1950. Their national headquarters is currently in nearby Canton.

While it may seem surprising that Dunkin Donuts coffee is being used to brew beer, it's certainly not the first time a craft brewery used coffee in their beer. It's not even the first time Dunkin specifically was used... back in September, a brewery out of North Carolina released the Dunkin’ Punkin Brown Ale to mark National Coffee Day.
