When Robyn and I found out that we were broadcasting live at the Dutchess County Fair this year, we knew we wanted to make our time there worthwhile. Instead of sitting around and broadcasting all day we decided to seize the opportunity to raise money for one of our favorite charities.

Alex's Lemonade Stand is an amazing organization that helps kids battling childhood cancer. So it was a no-brainer that we would spend our day at the fair trying to help them out. The only problem is that we both disagreed on how to raise the money.

Robyn insisted that her ideas were best, while I reminded her that my brilliant fundraising helped us collect over $10,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand last year. So instead of arguing, we decided to turn this into a "friendly" competition.

On Saturday, August 29 Robyn and I will both have our own lemonade stands set up at the Dutchess County Fair. We will leave it to the listeners to decide who wins, by donating to the stand of their choice. We've enlisted the help of some local businesses to help us sway your vote by bribing you with all sorts of freebies and perks at each booth.

Who will raise more money for Alex's Lemonade Stand? Will be me or Robyn? We will find out during our live broadcast from the Dutchess County Fair on August 29.

In the meantime, if you have a local business or organization that would like to help either Robyn or I with our fundraising efforts, you can email either Boris@WPDH.com or Robyn@WPDH.com with your ideas.
