Two men are in jail without bail after they ran into car trouble on the Taconic in Dutchess County.

On Saturday, a New York State police officer from the Stormville barracks noticed a disabled car on the Taconic State Parkway near Carpenter Road.

The occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of approximately five ounces of cocaine, and a small quantity of marijuana, troopers allege.

The occupants, Fabian B. Barrett, 34, of Uniondale and 35-year-old Romique A. Meyers of Saint Albans, were both were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Barrett and Meyers were arraigned at the Town of East Fishkill Court, and they were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail.
