Did the Hudson Valley politician featured in the viral traffic-stop meltdown get reelected?

As we previously reported, Ulster County Legislator Jennifer Schwartz Berky was pulled over in the Town of Ulster for allegedly speeding.

Video of the traffic stop went viral after it was posted by LiveLeak. If you haven’t seen it, things got a little crazy during the traffic spot. The video is posted below.

The traffic stop happened in May. It wasn't released until late October because Berky’s lawyers fought to block the release of the video because they felt it would compromise her chances of a fair trial.

It also may have compromised her chances of getting reelected in Ulster County.

Berky served one term as Ulster County Legislator in District 7, the City of Kingston. The Democrat ran for reelection against Republican challenger Brian Woltman.

On Tuesday, Woltman defeated Berky 55.84% to 43.89%, according to the Ulster County Board of Elections.
