Well, at least it looks like the crap they serve.

Denny's recently unveiled a new mascot for their Big Slam breakfast and now the new character is drawing backlash all over social media.

And by backlash, we mean that everyone says it looks like s***. Literally.

USA Today says that the restaurant chain chose a rather unflattering cartoon version of a sausage link to represent their popular breakfast dish. Now social media has lit up with scathing criticism and toilet humor regarding the new mascot. You know, it kind of looks like Mr Hankey from South Park. Denny's did feature a similar looking character a few years back, during their Grand Slam promotion on their website.

Denny's chief marketing officer John Dillon said in an email:

We do not have any plans to change how Sausage looks because…well, he looks exactly how a breakfast sausage should look. And of course, we’d hate to give Sausage a complex because we -- and his Grand Slams family -- love him just the way he is!

You know, these companies actually pay people like this a lot of money to say stupid stuff like this.
