Dee Snider Not Happy With Taylor Swift Being Named New York’s New Global Welcome Ambassador

Pop star Taylor Swift is on top of the world , as she was just named New York's new Global Welcome Ambassador on Monday. The problem is, many New Yorker's including Dee Snider are not happy about this considering that Taylor was born in Pennsylvania and made a name for herself in Nashville. She does now live in New York however renting out a $20 million dollar penthouse whose lease is co-signed by her parents. The Twisted Sister frontman was quoted as telling the Daily News “I’m incensed. It’s insulting. She doesn’t have any life experience here or connection to the town."  Snider went on to say “There’s so many others -- Jerry Seinfeld, for instance, if you want a big name,  but Taylor Swift is the pop culture queen, so she moves into town, and she’s the ambassador.” Catch Dee Snider's House of Hair every Saturday night at 10pm on WPDH.
