State Police performed checks at numerous Dutchess County retail locations, and it resulted in two arrests.  

To ensure compliance with New York State's Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Law and crackdown on underage drinking, police performed checks at multiple reatil locations.

The effort began Friday October 27, 2017 and continued through Saturday, October 28, 2017.

During the operation, State Police conducted plain-clothes checks of 22 retail locations in Dutchess County. The enforcement initiative resulted in two arrests for violations of the ABC Law.

Underage drinking is associated with the three most common causes of death among youth who consume alcohol, including accidental deaths, homicides, and suicides.  The State Police will continue to conduct underage drinker enforcement details statewide in order to protect the citizens of NYS and its youth.
