Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira are the New York Yankees' two highest paid players. But could their days wearing the pinstripes be numbered?

With the trade deadline looming, some within the organization are considering becoming sellers. According to Yardbarker, players such as AROD, Teixeira, Miller, or Beltran could be gone.

For Teixeira, the move would be logical. He is in the final year of his contract and probably won't be back with the Yankees anyway.

AROD's contract situation would be a little more pricey. If released, the organization would have to pay Rodriguez the remainder of the $20 million for this season, plus $20 million for next year.

Is it time for the Yankees to cut their losses and rebuild?

The Yankees are 48-47 following a Thursday loss to Baltimore. They had previously won four straight, but are currently fourth in the American League East.
