With Christmas a little over a week away, the question for some is whether or not we'll see a white Christmas in the Hudson Valley.

According to Accuweather, the answer is a resounding NO. In fact, temperatures are expected to climb well into the 60s by Christmas Day. Forecasters say this could be the warmest Christmas Day on record in Poughkeepsie.

A strong El Nino remains in place, keeping the colder, wetter air to the west. The east, however, has experienced one of the warmest Decembers on record.

It might not be a white Christmas, but at least we'll get a special treat with a rare full moon at 6:11AM on Christmas Day. This is the first time that's happened in nearly 40 years and we won't see it again until 2034.
