A fight amongst party goers and costumed Times Square performers has left one man in the hospital with stab wounds.

The NY Post says the fight happened Saturday on the corner of Broadway when one man dressed as a Tuskegee Airman took exception with another man dressed as a Native American.

The pilot apparently felt the Native American costume was insensitive (presumably, the person wearing the get-up was not American Indian), and decided to settle the matter by pulling a knife out of his boot.

So now things really get crazy.

Another guy dressed as the Cookie Monster stepped in to break up the fight, but ended up getting stabbed in the back. Guess no good deed goes unpunished? Good news is that a spokesperson for the NYPD says the Cookie Monster's injuries are non-life threatening.

The other two men haven't been identified or caught.
