It's one of those weird holidays that has everyone confused. Here's a full list of what's open and closed today in the Hudson Valley.

On Tuesday, November 7 the Hudson Valley heads to the polls for election day. While many kids have off from school, it's not the same in every school district.  Some will remain open as usual, so make sure to slow down while driving past schools and watch out for school buses as usual.

Most businesses and local offices remain open today, including the DMV, the post office and banks.  Local libraries will also be open today.

There is regular weekday service for Hudson Valley buses, Metro North and other local transportation.

County offices and most local government offices are closed today. Federal offices, however, will remain open.

Financial markets do not close on election day.

You can find out where your local polling place is by checking each county's online list.
