Winter has returned.

While some of Monday's snow has already melted across the Hudson Valley, there could be more on the way Tuesday night.

NBC New York reports that light to moderate snow will move north from central and coastal New Jersey Tuesday afternoon. Snow is possible for New York City, Long Island, Connecticut, and the lower parts of the Hudson Valley.

Meteorologists say that most of the snow should stay south of Interstate 84, with the majority Hudson Valley getting anywhere from a dusting to an inch.

Once the snow has moved out by Wednesday, the coldest temperatures of the season are expected by the weekend.

Highs on Saturday are expected to only reach about 20 degrees, with lows below zero. Wind chill values Saturday night are expected to be between -10 to -20 F.
