Get your hat and gloves ready, it's going to be a cold one! It looks like we won't see temperatures above freezing from Monday night until at least Sunday afternoon.

The Weather Channel reports that temperatures will rapidly fall on Monday to a low of 15 degrees overnight and continue in the 20's throughout the week. Wednesday currently shows a projected low temperature of 2 degrees.

According to The Poughkeepsie Journal, the windchill could make things even worse. Temperatures, they say, may feel as low as 15 degrees below on Tuesday.

The good news? So far it looks like the only snow we will see this week is a light morning dusting on Tuesday and maybe a flurry on Friday. Of course, we'll keep you posted if things change.

But if you really want to see snow, temperatures may be low enough in our area to turn boiling water into the white, fluffy stuff... just be careful if you decide to try it out:
