A ceramic clown that went missing from a closed amusement park in Kansas more than a decade ago, has been found at the home of a sex offender who once worked at the park.

Louie the Clown, once the mascot for Joyland amusement park in Wichita, Kansas, has been recovered. Police found the clown statue in the home of 39-year old, Damian Mayes. Mayes is currently serving a prison sentence for aggravated indecent liberties with a child and aggravated criminal sodomy, as reported by CBS 2

Mayes used to be employed by Joyland building and repairing organs before he was convicted.

The Louie the clown went missing somewhere around 2005/2006, but was not reported stolen until 2010. The clown is closing in on 50-years old, and is worth about $10,000.
