Arcade Fire fans were treated to a cover of the Pretenders classic "Don't Get Me Wrong" during the band's stop at Wembley Arena in London on April 11 — featuring a surprise guest appearance from none other than Pretenders leader Chrissie Hynde herself.

Hynde's performance with Arcade Fire was one of two cameos she'd make during the band's Wembley set; later in the evening, she returned to the stage for a performance of their hit single "Wake Up" — a rendition that also featured contributions from guitarist Bryce Dessner of the National.

You can check out fan-filmed footage of both numbers below.

The Arcade Fire show served as a brief warmup for Hynde's pending return to the road with the current lineup of the Pretenders. As previously reported, the band is scheduled to embark on a round of summer tour dates starting June 23, when a stop in Pasadena begins a stretch of dates that will take Hynde and her crew across the United States through late July. The next leg of the tour begins in early August, when they're booked for a series of U.K. shows scheduled to last until Sept. 9.

Live shows aren't the only activity Hynde has lined up for 2018. After concluding the tour, she's announced plans to release Adding the Blue, a book collecting her paintings — and before she heads out on the road, she'll be the focus of Alone With Chrissie Hynde, a documentary set to arrive in stores on May 25.
