This guy's got quite the cannon.

Yankees left fielder Aaron Hicks set a record Wednesday for the fastest throw ever recorded.

According to Statcast, Hick's fourth inning throw registered at 105.5 m.p.h.

With the Oakland A's up 3-1, Hicks caught Yonder Alonso's fly ball before throwing out runner Danny Valencia at home plate.

Hicks has always been known for his strong arm. After all, he was a standout pitcher when in high school in California. He was later selected as an outfielder by the Minnesota Twins with the No. 14 pick in the 2008 MLB draft.

The previous high was 103.1, by the Houston Astros' Carlos Gomez in September 2015.

Unfortunately, the Yankees still lost Wednesday to the Athletics, 5-2.
