The Hudson Valley's own 10-year-old cooking wunderkind Chad is competing on "MasterChef Junior" this season.

Chad took part in several auditions in the months leading up to the casting of the fifth season. After meeting Chad, it was easy to see why producers thought he would be a perfect fit for the show.

The adorable Poughkeepsie resident has a great personality, can out-cook most adults and doesn't let much faze him -- be it 20 minutes on the "MasterChef Junior" challenge clock or being handed impromptu judging duties.

Chad stopped by WPDH on Wednesday morning for an interview on The Boris and Robyn Show and then became the judge of a gourmet peanut butter and jelly challenge. Boris, Robyn and morning show's news guy Bobby Welber prepared sandwiches for Chad to taste.

To find out which of the morning show team had the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich, watch the video above.

Think your child is the next cooking star to come out of the Hudson Valley? "MasterChef Junior" is currently casting for its sixth season. An open casting call will be held in Manhattan on Saturday, Dec. 12. An application and video can also be submitted if your child is unable to attend the open casting call.

Chad's interview on The Boris & Robyn Show is available below.
