A pair of college students in England insist that the key to saving our environment is peeing in the shower. The students claim it could save enough water to fill 26 Olympic-sized swimming pools. According to the BBC, the campaign is called "Go With The Flow" and is the brainchild of Debs Torr and Chris Dobson, two students from the University of East Anglia.

The campaign is seeking to get all 15,000 of their fellow students to take their first pee of the morning during their shower. There is even a Facebook group that all of the students have been invited to join, pledging to participate in the new morning ritual. The idea spawned as part of the Npower Future Leaders Challenge, which is a contest to inspire students to come up with an environmental initiative for their school. The students decided that this was a great way to challenge conventional thinking and make people think about wasted resources.

At the urging of their professors, Torr and Dobson have researched the safety of peeing in the college's communal dorm showers and are confident that there is no health danger. They tell the BBC "As long as the water is flowing there is no hygiene risk as urine is sterile but we would encourage that every person using the same shower consents to the challenge and if not that they don't take part."

Of course, George Costanza learned this the hard way:

So far the student body has given the idea mixed reviews. According to "Go With The Flow" organizers people either love it or hate it.

So what do you think? Will you give peeing in the shower a try now that you know it could save the planet?
