An arrest has been made following an investigation into a burglary in Dutchess County.

State Police from the Dover barracks arrested Thomas C Brown Jr, 32 of Dover, NY following an investigation into a burglary.

Brown's arrest stems from a six month long investigation into a burglary of a vacant residence where copper wire was stolen on July 27, 2016.

People will steal copper wire, as the payout for scraping is high and the likelihood of getting caught, prosecuted, and convicted tend to be low, but not in this case however.

Brown was charged with Burglary in the third-degree, a class D felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court, where he was remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 bond.

Brown is scheduled back in the Town of Dover court later this month.
