Fuddruckers Restaurant, located on Route 211 in Middletown, has permanently closed its doors.

Their last day of operation was Monday, Jan. 11. No reason was given, but a person who answered the phone at the location says that the restaurant will not open today and that it is closed permanently. You can see the U-Haul trucks at the restaurant in the photo below taking equipment and furniture out of the building.

The restaurant's Facebook page says that the location is permanently closed. Other locations of Fuddruckers in the Northeast are not affected by this closing.

Previously this location was a "Cheeseburger in Paradise," which was licensed to Luby's Fuddruckers by Jimmy Buffet. That restaurant was closed down in January of 2014 to make way for Fuddruckers.  There is no word yet on plans to bring in another restaurant.  As of the past year, a Sonic and, more recently, a Hardee's restaurant has opened up next door to Fuddruckers.
