It was quite a frightening scene at LaGuardia Thursday morning. Officials say that Delta Flight 1086  was landing at LaGuardia Airport skidded off the snowy runway and slammed into a fence. The flight originated from Atlanta and touched down in Queens airport just after 11 a.m..

A Federal Aviation Administration official sai that the McDonnell Douglas MD-88 aircraft had gone off the runway, but said that no injuries were reported. Port Authority police say that they're  investigating the incident. The airport has since been closed.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said in a release:

Travelers with flights scheduled to arrive and depart from the airport should check with their carrier to determine the status of their flight. The Port Authority will provide more information as it becomes available.
