We need your help identifying the locations of the very worst potholes in the Hudson Valley.

The winter weather has stressed out our local streets. Ice, salt and plows have been pounding highways and side roads nonstop for the past few months. With record cold temperatures and a seemingly endless parade of winter storms each week, our roads are really beat up.

A pothole can do more than cause minor inconveniences like spilling your coffee on the way to work. Some of the bigger ones we've seen have the potential to do some real damage to your vehicle.

That's why The Boris & Robyn Show is asking the WPDH listeners to help out with their Hudson Valley Pothole Patrol. When you see a particularly bad pothole on your commute, make a note of it and let us know. Here are the ways to report a pothole:

  • Post a photo and/or the location of a pothole on our Facebook page.
  • Tweet a photo and/or the location of a pothole to @wpdhfm using #WpdhPotholePatrol.
  • Instagram a photo and describe the location using #WpdhPotholePatrol.
  • If you're in the car during Boris & Robyn's show and see one, just call (845) 471-WPDH and let us know where it is.

Getting the word out about the worst potholes in our area will help other drivers avoid them. And if we get repeated complaints about dangerous potholes, we'll do our best to track down the highway departments and find out what's being done to repair the Hudson Valley's trouble spots.

As the snow finally starts to melt, let's keep the roads safe for everyone. Join the Hudson Valley Pothole Patrol today!
