Boris’ Beer of the Week

This week's beer comes to us from Dark Horse Brewing in Michigan.  And just in time too... Scotty Karate Scotch Ale is only available in the Winter months and disappears right around this time every year, so this may be your last chance to grab a taste until 2015.

Named for a local musician from Michigan, this beer is a big, full bodied Scottish ale. It is 9.75% alc. but it is very smooth and balanced.  According to the real Scotty Karate this beer "Smells like A fresh caramel apple with a hint of cinnamon inside of cranberry shortbread. Or maybe fresh home made hard candy... Tastes like a smokey chocolate chip cookie, wild roadside cherry-asparagus, woody, crispy leaf on a fall day."
