Back on January, Mary Beth Metzger went to have lunch with a friend at the Hana Japanese steak House and Sushi Bar in Guilderlind. Metzger, who is blind, brought her service dog, Foster.

That night she was refused service.

Metzger said that the manager kept saying "No dogs".

The woman said they they explained to the manager that federal law requires restaurants and other businesses to allow service animals in to their premises.

Just so happens that the three customers who were behind the woman were lawyers. The lawyers took up for Metzger. Guilderlind Cynthia LaFave said she argues with the manager, but Cheng wasn't having any of it.

Metzger even reportedly called police. Cheng told the officers he offered to seat her in a private dining room. Witnesses say Cheng only made the offer once the officers showed up.

Hana Steakhouse did later offer an apology on their Facebook page

Hana Japanese Steakhouse genuinely apologizes for Ms. Metzger's experience. The manager's actions were not in accordance...
