Blackfoot Rocks The Chance Friday

Southern rock band Blackfoot plays The Chance in Poughkeepsie this Friday (July 22) at 7:30pm.

Blackfoot originally formed out of Jacksonville, Florida in 1970. The band's classic consisted of singer and guitarist Rickey Medlocke along with guitarist Charlie Hargrett, bassist Greg T. Walker, and drummer Jackson Spires. The album 1979 album Strikes featured the singles "Highway Song" and "Train Train". Rickey Medlocke reformed the band with a completely new lineup in 2012 with him acting as the band's producer. He appeared with the band for a special appearance at a live show in Niagra Falls, NY in 2015 (see footage below). The current lineup features singer Rick Krasowski on vocals and guitar, Tim Rossi on guitar, Brian Carpenter on bass, and Matt Anastasi on drums.
