New York ranks in the Top 10 for best states for working moms. 

With Mother's Day this week, and considering over 70 percent of moms with young children are working today, how does New York rank in regards for best states for working moms?

Our friends at Wallethub conducted a in-depth analysis of 2017's Best & Worst States for Working Moms.

The analysts compared the attractiveness of each of the 50 states to a working based on 13 key metrics. The data set ranges from median women’s salary to female unemployment rate to day-care quality.

Overall, New York was ranked 9th  for best states for working moms. Here's the breakdown:

  • 3rd - Parental-Leave Policy Score
  • 26th -  Avg. Length of Woman’s Workday (in Hours)
