How much does a beer cost at each ballpark across the country? You may be surprised to learn just how different the prices are at each stadium.

Business Insider looked at beer prices for each Major League Baseball team and found that the most expensive cup of suds can be found in Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia, where a beer will cost $7.75. Yankee Stadium, by comparison, only charges $6 a beer, while the same beer will only cost Mets fans $5.75 at Citi Field.

Not all beers are equal, however. The $7.75 beer in Boston is only 12 ounces, while Chicago gives you 16 ounces for the same price. And Phillies fans get almost double the beer with a 21 ounce pour for the same $7.75.

If you want to truly find out how much that beer will cost you, it's best to look at the actual price per ounce. Boston leads the pack with 65 cents per ounce as compared to $0.50 at Yankee Stadium. Citi Field charges just 2 cents less than the Yankees do per ounce of beer.

Where is the best beer value in the country? That would be in Los Angeles, where a beer will only set you back 28 cents an ounce, or $4.50 per beer, less than half the price that Red Sox fans have to pay. The Indians and Diamondbacks both offer $4 beers, but their beers have fewer ounces than the ones the Angels sell. The complete charts for every MLB team's beer prices are on the Business Insider website.

The good news? Hot dogs at Yankee Stadium are still a bargain at $3 each, among the cheapest prices in the country.
