A Hudson Valley resident posted this incredible video of a momma black bear and her cub brazenly walking onto his deck and dining on some wild bird seed.

The YNN Facebook page contains a video posted by Robert Bliss of Woodstock. In the video you can see a large mother bear and her cute little cub enjoying a meal from Bilss' bird feeder. What makes the video so amazing is that Bliss was standing just feet away inside his home while they were eating.

The video was captioned with the following description:

Today a mother Black Bear and her Cub came wandering up on my deck. I've had Black Bears on my property before, but never a mother and her cub. At one point the mother bear looked right at me as I was shooting the video with my iphone. But she went back to nibbling wild bird seed.

Black bears have become quite common here in the Hudson Valley. Even though they do look cute and cuddly, we probably don't have to warn you that feeding or trying to interact with them is probably not the best idea. You'd be better off doing what Robert Bliss did and enjoy them from a safe distance.
