Nominees for entry into the Baseball Hall of Fame class of 2015 have been announced. Sporting News reports that those selected will be inducted July 26th in Cooperstown.

Marquee first time nominees:

  • Randy Johnson
  • Pedro Martinez
  • John Smoltz
  • Gary Sheffield

Other first timers include: Rich Aurila, Aaron Boone, Tone Clark, Carlos Delgado, Jermaine Dye, Darin Erstad, Cliff Floyd, Nomar Garciaparra, Brian Giles, Tom Gordon, Eddie Guardado, Troy Percival, Jason Schmidt, and Jarrod Washburn.

Returning nominees:

  • Craig Biggio
  • Mike Piazza
  • Jeff Bagwell
  • Tim Raines
Other returning nominees: Lee Smith, Curt Schilling, Edgar Martinez, Alan Trammell, Mike Mussina, Jeff Kent, Fred McGriff, Larry Walker and Don Mattingly.

Nominees suspected of performing enhancing drugs (unlikely to get in):

  • Roger Clemens
  • Barry Bonds
  • Mark McGwire
  • Sammy Sosa
