A local bank is helping turn tragedy into something positive by matching donations in honor of a local first grader.

On Wednesday, May 9 a local Tompkins Mahopac Bank branch will be accepting donations for Alex's Lemonade Stand and matching every penny up to $1000. All money raised will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand, a children's cancer charity, in honor of Kelsey Berger.

Kelsey lost her battle with cancer last month, and since then the Hudson Valley has been helping to raise money in her memory to help other kids and their families who are dealing with childhood cancer.

Kelsey attended Sheafe Road Elementary School in Wappingers Falls. The community came out to Dunkin' Donuts last month and raised thousands of dollars for "Team Kelsey" during a kickoff to this year's Battle of the Stands.

The Boris and Robyn Show on 101.5 WPDH has decided to join forces to form Team Kelsey and raise as much money as possible in Kelsey's honor. You can join Boris and the WPDH road crew at Tompkins Mahopac Bank on Route 82 in Hopewell Junction this Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.

During the event you can drop off your donation and Tompkins Mahopac Bank will match every dollar raised up to $1,000.

Be sure to stay tuned for more events and fundraisers for Alex's Lemonade Stand coming soon. In the meantime you can also donate online at our official Team Kelsey page.
