A dummy missile was lost Friday during a flight by an Apache helicopter as it was on it's way to the air show at Stewart International Airport.

CBS 6 in Albany reports the training missile poses no threat to the public and is used to simulate real ammunition during flight. The chopper, which took off from Fort Drum, is part of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, part of the 10th Mountain Division.

Anyone who should happen to find the stray practice missile should contact the 10th Mountain Division at (315) 772-6324.

A terrible tragedy struck the air show Friday as pilot Andrew Wright's plane experienced a structural failure, he crashed and was killed instantly as he practiced. Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus released a statement the event will go on as planned.
