Two local men have been arrested in what appears to be a case of roadside vigilantism. State police say one of the men was driving drunk when he crashed into the other. This lead to the man, who's vehicle was hit, to attack the other in retaliation.

State police from the Cortlandt barracks said the incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday on East Main Street in Mohegan Lake. Lohud.com reports that 52 year-old Alvin T. Banks of Cortlandt, had backed into a 2006 Honda CRV and attempted to flee. The other man, 45 year-old Glenn Gennodie of Brewster, confronted Banks. This is when police say the assault took place.

LoHud.com reports that Banks was taken by the Mohegan Lake Emergency Medical Service to Hudson Valley Hospital. Due to the severity of Banks' injuries, he was later taken to Westchester Medical Hospital in Valhalla, where he is being treated for a head injury and broken jaw.

Gennodie was charged with second-degree assault, a felony. State police said that Gennodie also threw furniture in an interview room at the Cortlandt barracks, which lead to damage. which had lead to even more charges. Gennodie was being held on $100,000 bail at the Westchester County jail.
