Hudson Valley Man Charged with Unlawful Imprisonment of a Woman
The Ulster County Sheriff’s office says that a Kerhonkson man was arrested for holding a woman against her will. The sheriff’s office said the woman was held captive for several days. The man also reportedly threatened her with a knife, police say.
The Times Herald reports that 42 year-old Matthew Bundy was charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.
Deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle on River Road Friday night. Police say they found it occupied by Bundy and a female.
Bundy was also charged with second-degree menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanors; and second-degree harassment, a violation.
He was arraigned in Town of Hurley Justice Court and sent to Ulster County Jail.
