March is going to end with temperatures in the 70s, but snow may be on the way for the first week of April.

The Hudson Valley should be prepared for some frigid temperatures in the beginning of next week, with some forecasters are even calling for a snow shower on Monday night. To make things even worse, this cold snap is expected to hit right after a string of warm days this week.

The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures in the 70s on Thursday and upper 60s for Friday. The low temperature on Thursday isn't expected to drop under 60. That's enough to make anyone think that spring is finally here to stay; but not so fast.

On Monday the Hudson Valley may see an entirely different weather pattern. Frigid temperatures will return early in the week with highs in the lower 40s. Strong winds will make it seem even colder. 40-degree days are expected to continue throughout most of next week, and according to the Weather Channel, we may even see some snow on Tuesday.

Low temperatures will remain in the 20s at night for the first half of next week until things warm up before next weekend. Of course, extended forecasts do change, but it's probably a good idea to wait until next week to pack away those gloves and hats.
