Yet another Hudson Valley School dealt with a bomb scare. It marks the 4th threat to a local school in just over a week.

Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday Town of Wallkill Police responded to a reported bomb threat at William A. Carter Elementary School in Middletown. The bomb threat was phone into the school by a male voice.

The school was placed on lock-down as members of Town of Wallkill Police, New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and City of Middletown Police conducted a search of the inside and outside of the building and grounds. Their search failed to find any weapons or anyone responsible.

There were no reported injuries. At 10:28 a.m. the lock-down was lifted. Town of Wallkill Detectives and the FBI are continuing to investigate.

On Friday, New York State Police looked into a threat made on social media towards students at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers.

On Monday January 4th, State Police charged a 9-year-old with making a terrorist threat at Maple Hill Elementary School in Wallkill. That same day, a bomb threat was phoned into Meadow Hill Global Explorations Magnet School in Newburgh.
