Alert: Traffic Impacted After 2 Tractor-Trailers Collide on I-84

A Wednesday morning crash has slowed down traffic on I-84 during the morning commute.

Hudson Valley traffic reporter, Nancy Reamy, says the incident happened early Wednesday morning. Two tractor-trailers collided on I-84 causing backups and delays for many commuters.

The accident resulted in minor injuries, but cleanup and investigation is causing problems. The trucks were traveling Eastbound on I-84 near Route 684/ Traffic is reportedly backed up from exit 19 to exit 20 in Brewster.  On the Westbound side there are now rubbernecking delays heading towards exit 20.

The slow traffic has also impacted travel on 684, where more slowdowns are being reported.

It's hopeful that the collision will be cleaned up before the end of the morning commute, but you can expect residual delays to continue throughout most of the morning.
