The Woodstock Film Festival is heading into it's 17th year in the Hudson Valley. Actor Alec Baldwin will appear at next month's festival at the debut of his new film Blind according NewYorkUpstate.com.

Baldwin stars alongside Demi Moore as an author who loses his eyesight in an automobile accident. Moore plays the wife of an indicted business man who becomes romantically involved with Baldwin's character. The movie also features Dylan McDermott and Viva Bianca.

The Woodstock Film Festival will feature dozens of movies over a four day period from October 13th-16th. Theaters in Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, Rosendale and Rhinebeck will all be showcasing films. There will also be workshops, panels and an awards ceremony.

Also set for appearances are local resident Mary Stuart Masterson, Academy Award winner Melissa Leo and Chris Noth best known for his roles on Law And Order,  Sex and the City and most recently The Good Wife.
