Indian Point nuclear reactor remains shut down Thursday morning after an alarm cut off the reactor on Wednesday.

According to LoHud, the system incorrectly detected a change in the coolant pressure which set off the emergency shutdown. Unit 3 will continue to be nonoperational until an investigation is completed.  The New York State Office of Emergency Management maintains a website to let the community know of the status of Indian Point.  However, as of August 14, the page incorrectly shows all reactors as operational. The emergency alert website was last updated on July 8.
