This is the continuing story of how Bobby and I are coping after being victims of a house fire on November 1. We are nowhere close to being over it, but we are realizing how lucky we are. Going through things like this, and coming out of it, sure makes you count your blessings.

We are blessed with our health. Neither one of us got badly burned in the fire. Bobby got some burns while saving our cat Buddy, but they've already healed.  We are blessed that both cats got out safely.  We are blessed with a great fire department in the City of Poughkeepsie, a quick building inspector, and a helpful and fair insurance adjuster in Rick Winne from Van Kleek Winne Adjusters. We've always loved our insurance agents at Liggan Insuranc, and realize how lucky we are to have made that connection twenty something years ago. And I've been talking about Lisa Ann and the staff at Servpro in Pleasant Valley for two weeks now. My saviors.

Most of all, we are blessed with the love of our friends and families.  Sharyn and Kenny, Glenn and Cathie, Victor, Dan, Mike, and everyone who offered support and prayers. My sister Iris and brother Joe. My folks. And I am so very lucky to have a family at Townsquare Media. Anthony, Beth, Jackie, Kristen, Jason, Promo Joe, Joe, Boris, and the list goes on and on. Not just coworkers, not just friends. True family.

I have many blessing to count, much to be grateful for. I'll continue to update you with the progress of living after the fire and getting back into our house. Thank you for listening to my story and for reaching out.
