After a nearly four month investigation into larceny and burglary Putnam County Police say they arrested the 20-year-old woman responsible

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, On October 5, 2015, the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a larceny of an automobile and a burglary that occurred at the same location in the Town of Putnam Valley.

After an investigation by the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation, a suspect was developed. On February 2nd, 20-year-old Katlyn Montalvo, of Putnam Valley surrendered herself to police.

Montalvo was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree burglary and 3rd-degree grand larceny, both felonies. She was arraigned at Putnam Valley Justice Court. She is due back in court on February 23, 2016.

According to police, if found guilty of the felony charges, Montalvo faces up to seven years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine for each charge.
