The Dutchess County Fair kicks off on Tuesday August 25 and runs through Sunday August 30th.

Here are some things to know before you go:

Tickets are going to cost you $15 for adults, which is for almost everyone over the age of 12. Kids under 12 are free. Yes, there is a discount for Seniors (over 65) and for Military service members. Seniors & Military, you will need to buy those tickets at the gate, but you can save yourself some money by purchasing tickets in advance.

If you want to see one of the Grandstand Performers, you will need to buy a separate ticket for that. (Your admission to the fair is additional). The price will vary by performance.

If you are looking to save some money, there are a few food coupons, that you can print out, in advance. Here are the coupons.

But make sure you do keep this in mind, the following things are prohibited:

  • Pets
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, heelies, or segways.
  • Cans, bottles or coolers are not allowed.
  • Shirts and shoes are required at all times.

One last very important tip: don't forget to bring sunscreen!
