The nice, mild November weather won't last for long.

Friday was a gorgeous end to the week here in Hudson Valley, with sunny skies and temperatures near 60 F. And while Saturday is looking like more of the same, a cold front will move through the region bringing much colder air and even a chance of snow.

A strong front will move through the Northeast by Saturday night, bringing gusty winds and a chance of rain and snow showers. None of the snow will amount to much, with just a dusting possible in the Hudson Valley.

Some parts of the Catskills, however, could one to two inches of snow by Sunday morning.

Sunday will be windy and cold highs in the 40s. Wind chills will reach only in the lower 30s. Wind gusts could reach nearly 30 m.p.h., making it feel like mid-December.

If you're traveling west this weekend, be advised a Lake Effect Snow Watch has been issued for parts of Central New York, from Saturday to Monday. Believe it or not, some part of central and western New York could get anywhere from 8 to 15 inches of snow. Of course, that's nothing too out of the ordinary for that part of N.Y.

Right now, the extended outlook into Thanksgiving is looking at a chance of rain with highs in the 40s.

Of course, it's still a almost a a full week away, so we'll keep you updated over any changes.

Enjoy your Saturday while you can!
