9 students, their bus driver, and another driver were injured, after their bus was struck causing the bus to overturn. 

The accident happened Wednesday morning on Spakenkill road in the Town of Poughkeepsie.. There were three vehicles involved in the accident. Boris and Robyn reported on the accident this morning.

One vehicle was stopped and waiting to make a left hand turn. The school bus was oncoming. The vehicle waiting to turn was then rear-ended by a woman in a Cavalier. The Cavalier then crossed the double yellow into oncoming traffic, and struck the bus, as reported by The Daily Freeman.

The bus driver lost control of the vehicle, and the bus overturned, landing on it's side.

All nine children on board, and the driver were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. the driver and passengers of the other vehicle that was struck were uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking witnesses to call them at (845) 485-3666.
